Collaborative Statistics Nominated for Academic Recognition

“Collaborative Statistics”, used in classrooms for over 15 years, merges teacher dedication and expertise with modern, low-cost educational delivery systems, i.e., the internet and electronic files, with progress in intellectual property protections that Creative Commons licensing provides. Students across the globe benefit from the lower costs and the efficiencies that result from customizing material for particular classes.
As William Butler Yeats stated, “Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.” “Collaborative Statistics” and textbooks with the same format options and of similar high quality will help “light the fires” of instructors and their students for generations. It is deserving of the global recognition that the William Holmes McGuffey Longevity Award brings.
