Profile Information

Academic/Professional Biography
Beth Burns is an instructional designer at Buffalo State College. She has worked in the field of education since 2004. As an instructional designer, Beth consults with faculty members who are interested in online learning, assists in the development of online and hybrid offerings, and provides faculty development in the realm of online learning and Open Educational Resources. In addition to her role as instructional designer, she continues to teach traditional, hybrid, and online English courses for several institutions. Beth recently moved from Tampa, FL where she was an English faculty member at Hillsborough Community College. Beth is originally from Cleveland, OH and received her MAT in English from Agnes Scott College and her B.A. in English (writing) from Otterbein University.

State University of New York (SUNY) is offering an outstanding online OER course starting Wednesday January 23. The class is free and open to all. Registration starts today January 16.
