Academic/Professional Biography
Daniel Dishno is a program supervisor at the Foothill-De Anza Community College District where he has worked at Occupational Training Institute since 1984. He is responsible for managing and directing the day-to-day operations for CalWORKs, Workforce Investment Act (WIA), CompTechS – Computer Technical Support Program, Foothill De Anza Computer Donation, and the MediCal Administrative Activities (MAA) programs. Mr. Dishno has 28 years of experience in the employment and training field including working closely with the public agencies and the corporate business sector. He has a passion for serving socio-economically disadvantaged students and providing them resources to obtain high-quality employment while providing employers with qualified employees.
How have you used open textbooks?
Our organization provides services to economically disadvantaged students. We encourage the use of open textbooks, so our students have more access to educational opportunities.
