I serves at Yeshiva University HS for Boys as Librarian and Learning Center Specialist. My goals include developing, implementing and overseeing a library and media program that supports best practices in information management, collection development and curriculum enrichment. I also sponsor several student groups, including the MTA Library Squad and the Book & Film Club.
I have taught History, English, bilingual education and ESL in school and university settings including the NYC Department of Education, FIT, where I am an adjunct instructor in ESL/Educational Skills. Prior to joining MTA in 2008, she worked for the New York City Department I serve on the Mentoring Committee of the American Jewish Library Association and is active in the New York Library Association, the American Association of School Libraries, Hadassah and the Lower East Side Tenement Museum Teacher Advisory Committee. A focus of my practice is collaboration with scholars to create academic publications, curricula, grant proposals, web content and community outreach initiatives for organizations in the US and abroad. I hold a B.A. in History from Oberlin College and an M. Ed. from Long Island University, which I earned as a NYC Teaching Fellow.
