Perhaps all my OER friends know about this resource, and just haven't shared, but I have recently discovered: The Assayer, and thought I would share.For the world of open textbooks, they have a rather huge library. I was quite impressed. Academic/Professional Biography
Online college faculty for 13 years at Tacoma Community College in Tacoma, Washington, USA. Instructional Designer for past three years at Clover Park Technical College, Lakewood, WA. As of September 2012, the eLearning Coordinator for Clover Park. I came out of Health Care Administration, and prior to that grew up a commercial fisherman in Kodiak Alaska.
How have you used open textbooks?
I have not yet adopted an entire open textbook for any of the course I teach, but am writing one for Medical Terminology. I use OER to develop Faculty development workshops and programs.
