Profile Information

Academic/Professional Biography
I retired as a Lieutenant from the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety and have 30 years of public safety service with Sunnyvale DPS and the Mountain View Police Dept. I received my AS from Evergreen Valley College and my BS, MS from San Jose State Univ. I am also certified by the Dept. of Justice as a Crime and Intelligence Analyst completing the required course work at CSU Sacramento. I currently teach in the justice studies programs at both Cabrillo College and San Jose State University. My most recent law enforcement assignment was as the academy coordinator for the Basic Police Academy at the Southbay Regional Public Safety Training Consortium.
How have you used open textbooks?
No although I am currently reviewing an open text on Criminal Law from flatworld publishing
