More Textbooks Make the Grade

Two more textbooks passed the review criteria for suitability for possible classroom use. Jonathan Harden, Sr., educator and mentor, reviewed “Business Fundamentals”, an open textbook, giving it good marks, while Brian Evans, Economics instructor at Foothill reviewed a free, but not open textbook entitled, “Macroeconomics: Economics and the Economy V 2.0”. eTextbook Business Models under Study

JISC commissioned a study of eTextbooks business models. Several textbook publishers, e-book aggregator and universities are involved in piloting a range of business models for e-textbooks as part of the second phase of the Study on the Economic Impact of e-textbook Business Models.

More Chemistry and BusinessTextbook Reviews Added to CCOTC Database

CCOTC added three more textbooks reviews to their continuously growing database. They are: "Getting Started: Stuff You Should Know Before Delving Too Far into Chemistry" (2009) by Stephen Lower, “Concept Development Studies in Chemistry" (2007) by John S.
