Articulation of community college courses using OER to universities

I am interested in any "issues" that may arise when a community college uses an OER in a transfer course. Specifically, are there challenges when transferring that course to the public university in the same state as the cc? About 2 months ago, I sent an email to all CCCOER member institutions outside of California, asking this question. The community colleges that responded indicated that there was no problem as the text book is not listed on the articulation agreement with the state university.

In California, textbooks ARE listed on the articulation agreements. We have worked with the CSU Chancellor's Office to update the OSCAR instructions, giving info on where to input OER. The CSU and UC systems have agreed that OER texts are acceptable on the articulation agreements.

Are any of you having challenges with your articulation agreements because of OER texts? Do you need assistance?

Attached is a PPt for people in the CA Community College system. The PPt addresses articulation and OSCAR format for those community college courses that transfer to the UC and CSU systems and have OER textbooks.

Please share the PPt with your articulation officers and curriculum committee chairs.
