I presented at Two Year College Association (TYCA) Northeast regional conference this week.

"Capitol Improvements: The Two-Year College as an Agency of Change" was held November 4-6, 2010 in Washington, DC.

My workshop was titled "Adopting Open Textbooks."   I covered how to identify, evaluate, and adopt Open Textbooks. I also gave an overview of training opportunities for those wanting to adopt open resources, do peer reviews or open their own writing.

This is my fourth presentation as Advocate/Trainer and will be doing another one for NJ educators in two weeks.

Just FYI - I' also presented at this conference with my colleagues on "Writing Connection: Bridging the Gap between High School and College" about our Connections program at PCCCto work with area high school teachers across disciplines to create varied opportunities in writing-to-learn rather than the traditional learning-to-write approach that might apply only to the English classroom.
